Bird Photography Weekly #14


I photographed this Yellow-headed Blackbird on Big Muskego Lake in southeastern Wisconsin last summer. It was the first time I went out in search of a specific bird. What a thrill it was to find it and get a photo! It is reminding me of summer on this very snowy December day. See more bird photos from all over the world at Bird Photography Weekly #14

    Nice photo. I saw my first yellow-headed blackbird in NM this summer. Didn't get nearly so nice a photo.

    Beautiful capture in the reeds. He is such a stunning bird and I'm sure not as easily photographed as your splendid shot suggests.

    The yellow in this blackbird is so vibrant, especially in relation to all of the green in the photo.
