Bird Photography Weekly #15
My featured bird this week is the Bobolink. I photographed this fellow in May 2008 at the Horicon Marsh, during their annual birding festival. More than 290 species have been documented at Horicon Marsh making it one of the top birding hotspots in the Upper Midwest. For more information on the 2009 festival, scheduled for May 8-11, visit the Horicon Marsh Bird Club. Take a look at all the great bird photos this week at Bird Photography Weekly.

ReplyDeleteNice photo of a very interesting bird.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see one, though they do show up near my work in the spring/summer months.
ReplyDeleteI've only gotten to see a Bobolink a few times over the years. The first time was when I was hiking the Appalachian Trail when I got to see quite a few birds I have never seen here in the West.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see a Bobolink. Thanks for sharing.
