Bird Photography Weekly - Blue Jay

Blue Jays are very common in our neck of the Wisconsin northwoods but it is very rare for me to see one in the southeastern part of the state. This blue beauty was photographed up north last fall by my 15 year old son.

  1. Very nice! They're common where I live too (Lake County Illinois) but we haven't had any in our backyard since we moved here last month. I miss 'em.

Blue Jays are very common here. 10-15 at the feeders everyday.

  3. Great shot by your son Tammy! That's the way to do it, start them young.

Beautiful bird that we don't have in the West. I would love to see one in person.

  6. Nice! We have lots of them and they rule the bird feeder roost... except for the red bellies.
